This song was written about my youthful distaste for apathy and unwillingness to be told I wasn't just as valuable to society as the next person, just because of my age or outlook on life. It was a protest song to the generation(s) before mine that treated us like children, well into adulthood, as if they never were never in our exact predicament only 20 years prior. They will age out and we will be the ones running things. Now, in my mid-thirties, this is slightly terrifying.

V1: THIS IS OUR TIME! To break the cycle to break out of our mold. / No, won't be silent, we won't sit still and just watch ourselves get old. / Cause we're not useless and we're clueless, we're vital and aware. / We'll never give up, so say what you want, 'cause we don't really care.
